Pavement Resources (PR) is currently searching for a person to fill their Sales Representative (Pavement Consultant) position.

The Real Job:

As a Sales Representative (Pavement Consultant) you will create profitable sales for the company by focusing on building long term relationships with clients that are a fit for PR.

Things You’ll Do (Essential Functions):

· Develops and implements relationship (consultative selling) system that focuses on knowing customer needs and wants, then provides PR solutions that can satisfy these needs. Focusing on referrals and repeat business.

· Determines pricing for projects using PR estimating program and interfaces with operations personnel as needed to ensure profitable jobs.

· Actively stays up to date on latest construction / industry changes that can provide unique differentiation of PR.

· Develops clear, creative, and accurate proposals that communicate scope of work and clear differentiation of PR to increase win ratios. Comfortable presenting proposals to customers.

· Responsible for selection of proper contracts and terms that protects PR and communicates clearly the exact scope and desire of client and company. Also, ensures company guidelines for payment and other terms are clearly delineated.

· Ensures proper and positive project handoff to project managers including clear scope of work, client expectations and unique characteristics. Also, must be willing to project manage when necessary.

· Works the process with new prospects that fit the PR sales funnel where relationships and long-term value can be achieved.

· Ensure all paperwork and data entry, including customer correspondence and proposals are current and accurate.

· Enter customer information into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for use in the sales process

· Take field measurements for patching, cracksealing, and seal coat projects

Sales personnel are responsible for management of their assigned accounts and zones. They are expected to grow their business based on individual goals, while maintaining excellent customer relations.

Organization:

Sales Representatives (Pavement Consultants) report to the CEO/owner.

Ideal Sales Competencies:

Outside sales experience working with property managers, facility managers, school maintenance managers.

Sales cycle of 14-28 days

Average sale $5k-$50k

· Relationship (Consultative) Selling

o The individual would know how and be able to build profitable selling relationships via a consultative problem-solving approach for purposes of landing negotiated work, establish credibility by providing valuable education, knowledge, and insight, and utilize the stages of consultative selling as such as qualification of self and buyer, determination of needs and wants (needs analysis), presentation of best solution, closure of sale, and follow up.

· Closing Sales Opportunities

o The individual would know how and be able to close sales opportunities. Specifically, the individual would possess strong persuasive selling techniques that lower buyer resistance and gains commitment to PR’s proposed solution resulting in a negotiated, signed contract.

· Customer Focused

o The individual would know how to and able to capture and articulate client needs and expectations at all times and develop a scorecard that clearly measures personal and company success at meeting these needs.
